Part of our assignment was to use Skype and document what we thought of it. Honestly, I had never used Skype before this class. I used it to Skype with my mother who lives in New Jersey, where I am from. Obviously, with her being so far away, I don't get to see her as often as I would like. We skyped for about 30-45 minutes. I really got a chance to talk with her and I even got to see her new house and my dog that I miss terribly. I still Skype with her every once in a while, when I find the time but I am glad that this class introduced me to it and I will continue to use it to stay in touch with the family I am away from.
